The MFP-3D-Controller is the industry's first commercially-available all-digital controller. The fully digital controller allows the functionality of the AFM to be virtually controlled through the software interface which means easy addition of new microscope capabilities.
In addition, the all-digital controller also eliminates noise that is injected into the signal that is typical with analog systems. The FPGA and DSP allow fast processing and flexibility. Samples can be scanned with a 25+ megapixel image resolution. The controller, combined with the open IGOR Pro software, allow for powerful data acquistion, analysis and flexibility unlike any other AFM system.
